About Me

My name is Becca Thomas

I am a CAPPA trained Doula

based in Regina, SK.

My journey into the world of

birth began in October 2003

when I watched my sister

birth her daughter. I fell in

love with the process of birth

that day but was disappointed

in the unwanted interventions my sister received. I watched the same unwanted interventions unfold in my other sister's births years later. I knew there must be a better way to help a laboring woman. That is when I discovered the world of Doula care. I signed up for the CAPPA workshop right away. At the same time I discovered I was pregnant. In August 2009 I became a Doula and in April 2010, with the support of two Doulas and my husband, I gave birth drug free to a 10lb 6oz baby boy. My personal choice was to have a drug free birth but I strongly believe in every woman's right to choose how and where she gives birth. I will work with pregnant women, their families and their Doctor/midwife towards the birth of their choice.
